Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio yesterday announced the removal from office of three more commissioners and one special adviser.
The affected officials according to a press statement signed by the state Commissioner of Information, Mr Aniekan Umanah are the Commissioners for Transport, Mr.Austin Mbeh; Economic Development, Mr. Sunny Anyang; Commerce and Industry, Martyns Udoinyang and Special Adviser, Youth and Sports, Mr. Samuel Frank.
No reason was adduced for their sack from the state cabinet.
The statement read in part: “The Akwa Ibom State has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle with immediate effect. Accordingly, some members of the State Executive Council have been relieved of their appointments as commissioners and special adviser”.
The governor thanked the former members of the state executive council for their services and wished them well.
