Anambra Guber Polls Will Be Better Than Edo, Ondo – Presidency

anambra_state-mapThe presidency has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that the November 16 governorship elections in Anambra State are free and fair.

The Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Inter-Party Affairs, Senator Ben Obi, who stated this yesterday at a colloquium organized for the 23 gubernatorial candidates in the election by the Anambra State Towns People Association (ASTPA) and Anambra State Public Officers and Elders Forum (ASPOF), vowed that the transparency and credibility of the Anambra polls would surpass those earlier witnessed in Edo and Ondo States.
The presidential aide, therefore, enjoined the various candidates in the elections to engage in healthy debates based on issues rather than attacking personalities throughout the campaign period.

According to Senator Obi, an indigene of Anambra State, already President Jonathan has mandated him to repeat the feat in Edo and Ondo States by conducting workshops for political parties on the need to have a free, fair and credible election in the state, disclosing that he had fixed it for October 21.
