The mother of all campaigns is scheduled to hold today as the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) flag-bearer in the November 16 governorship election in Anambra State, Senator Chris Ngige, flags off his campaign at the Holy Trinity Ground, Onitsha, a statement signed by Mr Okelo Madukaife, for Chris Ngige Campaign Organisation on Monday in Awka, the state capital, has said.

Eleven APC governors and 30 senators are expected to grace the event with their presence just as the party’s national leaders; including Chief Bisi Akande and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, have confirmed their participation at the ceremony.

Ngige had at the weekend in Awka, unveiled his manifesto which contains 12-points agenda. He promised free education (primary and secondary) and upto 50 per cent reduction in tuition fees in the state-owned university.

The senator, who presently represents Anambra Central in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, declared that he was coming back to finish his uncompleted projects which began during his short-lived tenure between May 2003 and March 2006.

The statement reads in part: “It is another opportunity to demonstrate to the people of Anambra, Nigeria and the world at large that Sen. Chris Ngige and our party are ready for the election.

“Ngige will again make his 12-point manifesto and compendium of his stewardship at the Senate in the past two years known to the public.

“His running mate, a two-time federal legislator from Anambra West Local Government Area, Mr Ralph Okeke will be formally presented to the people of the state’’, the statement added.
