Plain catnip isn’t going to cut it anymore.

Starting today, Japanese pet supply company B&H Lifes is selling “wine exclusively for cats,” according to Kotaku’s translation of Japanese news site Sankei Biz.

“Nyan Nyan Nouveau” (“nyan” is Japanese for “meow”) doesn’t actually contain any alcohol — it’s a concoction made primarily of of grape juice, Vitamin C and catnip.

According to Rocket News 24, B&H developed Nyan Nyan Nouveau after many requests from customers who wanted to do things like “celebrate Christmas and birthdays” with their cats.

A 180 ml bottle of the wine costs 399 yen (US $4).

It’s only fair that our feline companions now get to drink, too. After all, there’s already beer for dogs.
