The Royal Blue Ambassador program brings together a new IBM employee and an experienced Advisor who is proficient in guiding & helping new joiners adapt quickly within IBM. This helps in inculcating in the new joiners a sense of identity as an IBM employee and enables them to have access to guidance and helpful assistance during their first 30 days of having joined.
This Royal Blue Ambassador Program continues to be an integral part of the IBM Connections Program. However, modifications to improve efficacy and to better address the issue of attrition within the first 90 days. IBM Connections is a global program designed to help new employees quickly and effectively integrate into IBM’s business. The program is structured to help new employees in two key areas:-
1.Develop their business effectiveness so that they become productive faster
2.Accelerate their social adaptation to IBM so that they identify with the company and are able to build productive relationships with their manager and colleagues.
1.Ensure the new employee feels welcome and ‘at home’ at IBM.
2.Contribute to an excellent on-boarding experience – one that positively confirms the new employee’s decision to join IBM.
3.Assist the new employee to feel connected by reducing the confusion and uncertainty many people experience when they join a new organization.
4.Provide the manager with more time to spend time with the new employee on areas such as strategy, business objectives and career development.
5.Educate the employee about the IBM culture values
1.Keen interest in working in a customer focused environment: Candidates with hospitality background and training experience with a customer service approach
2.Well developed people and influencing skills. Should be able to work with multiple parties to resolve issues and focus on the outcome.
3.Project and Programme Management experience with the ability to establish and maintain good stakeholder relationships
4.Excellent communication skills with a confident and outgoing style
5.Should be a good listener & should be able to appreciate other’s point of view & expertise
6.Good at establishing relationship with the new employee. Should be open, positive, supportive and confidential so as to work with, identify & resolve challenges faced by the new joiner.

- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 3 years experience in customer focussed environment
- At least 3 years experience in people and influencing skills
- English: Fluent
