Two men have been arraigned in Lagos for raping two daughters of their neighbours.
37-year-old Segun Olagbebi and 38-year-old Tokunbo Olukoya were arraigned on Thursday before Abule-Egba Magistrate Court in Lagos, on a four-count charge of rape.
The victims were aged 11 and 13 years.
It was revealed that accused, both carpenters, committed the crime on July 12 and August 4.
According to the prosecution, on July 12, the accused raped an 11-year-old daughter of one of their neighbours in the room of the first accused.
“Also, on August 4, the first accused, Segun raped the 13-year-old daughter of the second accused in his (Olukoya’s) room.
“It was the screaming of the girl that attracted the neighbours and the first accused (Olagbebi) was arrested. It was at the police station that Segun told the police that both himself and Olukoya had previously raped an 11-year-old daughter of one of their neighbours,” she said.
The case was adjourned till October 15.
