A New Hampshire cab driver who has been on the job more than 26 years said she has no plans to retire despite her upcoming 90th birthday.

The Nashua driver, who said all of her coworkers and regular customers call her Aunt Dottie, said she will turn 90 in July, but she is hoping to keep driving for SK Taxi well past reaching the milestone, WMUR, Manchester, N.H., reported Friday.

Dottie, who joined the company as a receptionist 36 years ago and has been driving a cab for more than 26 years, said she uses her own knowledge of the city to get around.

“I don’t have a GPS,” she said. “I’m old-fashioned.”

Samia Khoury, owner of SK Taxi, said Dottie works reliably from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“Every morning, she is in her car,” Khoury said. “Never gets sick. Never calls out. She is very amazing. I love her. Everybody loves her.”

Dottie said many seniors request her as a driver.

“A lot of the older people like me to drive them because I don’t speed and, you know, it’s more relaxing,” Dottie said.

She said her birthday in July won’t bring her any closer to retirement, but the milestone will be celebrated.

“Oh, we’ll probably have a party,” she said.
