APC’s Poaching Of Our Governors Height Of Hypocrisy, Cries PDP

APC vs PDPThe Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday said it would remain committed to national interest and the unity of the country as a true national party.

This information is contained in a statement issued by Mr Olisa Metuh, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, in Abuja.

“We will continue to be committed to the national interest and the unity of the country in line with the principles of equity and justice.

“These among several others are encapsulated in the PDP ideology and manifesto,” Metuh said.

He thanked President Goodluck Jonathan, for his humility and calmness so far exhibited in the face of provocation and obvious attacks by the opposition.

This, according to the statement, is a mark of a true statesman which is not being exhibited by some other leaders.

He urged Nigerians to continue to support the president and his transformation agenda geared toward the good of all.

Metuh said that the move by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to woo the aggrieved PDP governors shows that the party lacked true followership.

“The move by the opposition APC clearly shows that the APC lacked true followership and electable materials at all levels, hence its desperate bid to poach from the PDP.

He said the desperate move of the APC would not yield any meaningful result as no one would join its fold on sentiments.

“In wooing members of the PDP, a party it has continued to castigate, the APC has shown the height of hypocrisy.

“It has ultimately confirms to Nigerians that it has nothing to offer and truly lacked genuine ideology and principle.

“The APC is nothing, but a party of strange bed fellows united only by their inordinate quest and desperation for power.

“What the APC forgets is that Nigerians are no fools and cannot be deceived by its antics,” Metuh said.

He said the PDP was not worried by the actions of the opposition, adding that no genuine member of the PDP would opt for the APC.

Reacting to the assertions by Mr. Metuh, the APC’s spokesman, Lai Mohammed said, “we are not ashamed to say that we are wooing the G7 governors and if they have the penchant of losing their own members, it is not our own penchant.

“We have the penchant of wooing people to join us. This is a game of numbers and a thousand friends is not enough, the more the merrier and we are going to be all over Nigeria wooing more and more Nigerians to join us,” he said.

  1. Its a pity that APC who had always condemned PDP and there members would still welcome some PDP members to APC. I hope they are aware of what they said earlier about the same party who was tagged corrupt being an option to conquer in 2015. PDP can’t wait to show APC how winners act. Shame would befall all who have contributed to our Nations stagnated state.
