Job description

  • company representative to follow up contractor preparation and execution of project commissioning activities
  • Ensure that contractor carry out commissioning activities in a professional, safe manner, in line with OPERCOM & ICAPS specifications and commissioning road map.
  • Manage witnessing of key commissioning tests, involve future start up operation team maximum in commissioning activities to achieve an operation readiness, ownership and proper competence skills
  • Review and comment key commissioning deliverables: strategy, engineering road map, subsystem list and mark ups, sequence, manpower requirement, organization and mobilisation plan. Optimize commissioning activities scope during Shutdown & SIMOPS.
  • Verify and validate all contractor commissioning preparation documents, including vendor documentation, to ensure conformity with OPERCOM, ICAPS, project technical specifications and safety rules
  • Check and validate ICAPS database set up, population and verifications by contractor
  • Validate witnessing matrix, certificate signature matrix, various task and test sheets, various commissioning procedures (OTP, PVP) and proper PRECOM-COM dossiers compilation per subsystem
  • Approve and verify contractor commissioning spare parts, special tools, consumables and vendor mobilization management during commissioning execution
  • Participate in FATs and follow up clearance of subsequent FAT punch lists by contractor
  • Manage company commissioning team during construction and witnessing of contractor commissioning activities, responsible for compliance of commissioning procedures by contractor. Validate all subsystems commissioning dossiers at RFC and RFSU stage
  • Validate punch list items, follow up ICAPS database progress and verify punch list clearance management by contractor
  • Ensure that contractor have proper and adequate preservation management for equipment on site during commissioning phases and that commissioning Mark-up activities are properly carried out
  • Attend project meetings as required and liaise with other disciplines, site operations and vendor personnel for commissioning, shutdown, SIMOPS, start up and handover matters
  • Provide assistance during start up, performance test and other contractual tests, close out punch list items post start up,
  • Manage all commissioning site reporting and evaluate performance of contractor and company commissioning team employees
  • Ensure that project HSE objectives are properly integrated in commissioning preparation and strictly abide by during execution of commissioning activities. Promote a safety first attitude, develop proactively a safety culture and maintain a high safety awareness and vigilance within his team during execution of commissioning activities

Skills & Experience

  • Engineering degree or equivalent combination of relevant experience and training
  • Vast experience in Oil & Gas Plant construction, commissioning, start up and operations
  • Considerable experience as a Team Leader or Supervisory Level with good interpersonal skills
  • Good English communication skills (verbal and written) and in depth knowledge of OPERCOM/ICAPS methodology
  • Able to work with live plant (SIMOPS) and tight schedule (during shutdown) conditions

This is a contract position.

The rate for this position is negotiable.
