D’Banj Embarassed In Zimbabwe + Gets Booed Off Stage

The biggest fish and the one and only Kokomaster, Dbanj had other plans in his head when he stormed Zimbabwe ready to win the hearts of the crowd at the Lion Lager Summer Beer Festival dubbed the “Battle of Africa” in Zim.

However, according to sources from Zimbabwe, D’banj gave his fans a very lackluster performance that eventually pissed off his fans that ended up booing him off the stage.

According to All Africa, the festival featured Ugandan reggae musician Bebe Cool and local dancehall artistes Winky D, Guspy Warrior and King Shaddy.

D’Banj represented West Africa while Bebe Cool represented East Africa.

D’Banj was the main attraction and when it was his turn to perform, he exploded onto the stage amid pomp and zest but soon fizzled out and slumped into near- pornography with some fans.

He ran out of steam after exhausting his familiar songs in less than an hour and went into what many revellers described as “hogwash”.

His opening song was “Fall in Love”, followed by “Oliver Twist”, “Kukere” remix, “Don’t Tell Me Nonsense”, “Igwe” and “Why Me”. Then he lost the plot.

Neither his scantily dressed dancers nor his swag was enough to sway the majority of the crowd that became visibly restless and disappointed.

So disappointing was his performance that he resorted to X-rated antics with ladies he calls “Kokolates” on the stage, in a bid to kill time.

Among the “Kokolates” was songstress Amara Brown, who jumped on stage and joined in the dirty dancing.

“Let me see all my Kokolates on stage, now shake your boom boom and do the catwalk,” he said, amid boos from the crowd, especially men.
Some disgruntled fans hurled insults and obscenities.

D’Banj failed to impress and was the opposite of the Nigerian twins P-Square who performed at the same festival last year and left fans asking for more.

P-Square were even barred from leaving the stage by fans who craved for more.

“This guy should not have been the main act at the show. He has a few hit songs we know that he has performed. Now look at how he is whiling up the remaining time with the ladies,” said a fan in the crowd.

  1. lol if dem tell am make him go beg him oga, so he go get hit, he go dey form rambo. All d songs that made sense was done by don baba j. All d latest na nonsense, he is living on past glory, dem just dey rep and hype am. But artists lik 2face, p-square, flavour, no need hype, dem be hard core. Anytime dey step out of naija, see afro fallin and fainting like they are some mj type dudes. Hahaha dbanj all d kokolets are nw married o, and are now a mamalets. guy find another rep. I bet if he did an eminado, dem go faint. Hahahha

  2. Dbang is no more up to date due to his lack of co operation and Head to no where buffing n buffing among other artists, not only to his boss Don jazzy, but to most Naija artist, why should Him exercise pornographing like motiv on stage, this is not the era of fela nor can or did hv even 40% of fela
personality, this is too old, we are in 21St century and Africa is a land respect for culture, tradition and religion, so I think he need to recognize that, and he need to start to cooperate with the people that was there before him, he need to knw were he started Don Jazzy, MOHIT, he need to cooperate and reinvent his music, and let aside ego of failure, and he need to utilize deal strategies in modern African style, no nudity, but simple and authenticand ssophisticated, people are watching

  3. Danny is a past tense and his kokolets are past tense, let him take a loom at what’s happening in other Naija artist/actress choreographies who stick to their Boss or Producers, dbang source of being on top is Don jazzy and did u knw what happened when the source or head of water cut out na drought, I’m not saying tht he’s not making song, but what I’m saying is that his recent songs are bag of sands and gabbage, forcing n formin body, who even send sef, tht Na old sht, so he need to drop tht kpako grab d ebeano, his gbedu is flushing out and did u knw what a smart dude will do, to look at his fans and producer/people around him, dbang is being misleaded by smone that might be thinking he’s Best buddy, friend, fortunately don jazzy raised dbang into music, and without, Don jazzy his music will facing another direction, so for him to be Back on track, he MUST work with don jazzy, even his so called New haven Kanye West/Good music ent have advice Him to go back to Don Jazzy, did u know what that means, it means “you don’t really have what we need, it means your Boss producer @ Oliver Twist and more other track he made Will be better for you more than us, it means your Boss know more about you than we do, it means your Boss Don Jazzy is the main person that will help you not us, and remix is the only thing we can do with you and it gives nothing new or astonishing to the fan,

  4. Una no dey hear correct song o,is top of d world produced by don jazzy…don jazzy or no don j,dbanj is still a boss nd hez also an entertainer….roger dat?

  5. May I simply say what a comfort to uncover someone who truly knows what they are discussing over the internet.
You actually realize how to bring a problem to light and
make it important. A lot more people ought to read
this and understand this side of the story. I can’t believe you’re
not more popular since you certainly have the gift.

  6. Ejela, Ride on U’re the bomb. U’re the big fish in the ocean. “Finally” haters will bow. The two legend that are rocking 9ja now is 2baba and Dbanj.

  7. Aside bad belle, every artist do have their bad days. Then again, I wonder why information Nigeria hardly report positive news about D’banj.
