A ‘dead’ baby was saved from being cremated when it started CRYING at a funeral home yesterday.
Authorities in China had issued a death certificate two days earlier for the boy, who was less than one month old.
The boy had suffered from congenital respiratory problems since birth and his parents had agreed to end his treatment.
But after he showed signs of life at the funeral home in Hefei, in east China’s Anhui Province, he was rushed back for emergency care.
A doctor has been suspended and a nursing worker sacked after they were judged responsible for the error, China’s Xinhua News Agency reported.
A full investigation has been launched while the boy’s condition is said to be critical.
