Help NFF Pay Keshi- Galadima Urges FG.

Former NFA Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima has called on the federal government to help NFF pay Coach Stephen Keshi’s salary arrears just as he advised the football federation not to shy away from seeking for help from the Presidency.

Speaking to Daily Trust, the former vice-president of the Nigeria Olympic Committee, NOC, said the coach has brought so much honour to the nation and should not be rewarded with non-payment of his salaries.

Galadima said the NFF should not shy away from approaching the government for help because the sooner it settles Keshi, the better.

He said it is rather disturbing that the coach who has achieved results is being owed salaries noting also that a labourer deserves his reward, so Keshi should be paid what is due to him.

“I want to advise the NFF to feel free to approach the federal government to help it settle the arrears of Coach Stephen Keshi’s salary.

“Keshi has achieved so much and should not be owed salaries. It is rather paradoxical that after doing so well, he is not paid for the good work.”

“This is the time for the Super Eagles to commence preparations for the 2014 World Cup and the NFF must do everything possible to avoid anything that will distract the team”.

Galadima also noted that welfare of the coaches employed by the NFF should be given attention because it is only when they are adequately motivated that they can give their best.

“It is said to whom much is given, much is expected. So I urge the NFF to always motivate coaches so that much can be expected from them”, he said
