Omeruo Set to Start Against Ethiopia.

Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo is in line to make his return to Super Eagles starting lineup against Ethiopia on Saturday in Calabar after missing out since June due to injury.

The 20-year-old sustained a shoulder injury at the last Fifa Confederations Cup in Brazil. Warri Wolves skipper Azubuike Egwuekwe has deputised in his absence.

But Omeruo looked sharp in Eagles training session ahead of tomorrow’s 2014 Fifa World Cup playoff return leg at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar.

Omeruo look set to partner Godfrey Obaobona in Nigeria’s central defence in an all-Europe-based line up.

Brown Ideye, who started on the bench against Ethiopia in Addis Ababa, also looked set to return to the starting lineup and will most favourably partner Emmanuel Emenike in the attack.

Stand-in skipper Vincent Enyeama, who has kept 11 clean sheets for his French club Lille Metropole, will retain his number one shirt.

Celtic FC defender Efe Ambrose and Elderson Echiejile will man the full-back position.

Ogennyi Onazi will pair John Mikel Obi in the heart of the midfield while Victor Moses and Ahmed Musa will take charge of the wings.
