The APC Interim Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, disclosed this to journalists after the meeting of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).
He gave the names of chairmen of the committees as Gov. Adams Oshiomohle of Edo (Contact Committee); Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo (Mobilisation) and Gov. Kashim Shettima of Borno, (Fund Raising).
“We have inaugurated three committees – contact, mobilisation and finance to carry out various assignments in line with the planed roll-out of the party structures nationwide,” Mohammed said.
The party urged the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) to intensify efforts at organising a free and fair gubernatorial election in Anambra on Nov.16.
He maintained that the party was worried about the development in Anambra, especially with regard to an alleged plot to manipulate the election.
APC said that some actions taken by INEC in recent times had called to question its ability to stay above the fray as far as the Anambra election was concerned.
The party said that it was closely monitoring all the processes leading to the election, adding that the success of any poll was not limited to actions taken on the Election Day alone.
The party urged the Federal Government to compensate victims of Boko Haram, pointing out that the unfortunate Nigerians were injured not by their own making and they cut across ethnic groups, religion and gender.
“Since they have lost their loved ones, properties and at the same time not be compensated by government, they cannot be made to suffer double jeopardy,” he added. (NAN)
