Stop Working Against Our Interest, ASUU Urges Members

Dr Oghenekaro Ogbinaka, Chairman, Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Lagos Chapter, on Tuesday urged the union’s members to desist from working against its interest.

Ogbinaka made the appeal in a statement he made available to journalists in Lagos.

He said that the members should not allow their selfish interests to overshadow the interest of the union.

He alleged that some members of the chapter called an illegal congress recently but failed in their bid to carry out `illegal activities’.

“Congress anticipated their plot that was borne out of greed.

“No member of the University of Lagos Branch of the ASUU is, therefore, taken aback on their action,” he said.

He described such as an action as misguided, and urged ASUU members to desist from such.

The chairman gave the assurance that the chapter would remain indivisible. [NAN]

  1. Dear ASUU
I want to on behalf of the entire nigerian public university students especially the final year students thank you very much for the delay and undue elongation of our stay in our various university, we also appreciate you (ASUU) for fighting us in your own interest but at our deteriment, we salute your courage and guts for being able to show to the world that you are all superb nation’s deceivers & wonderful liars. We will ever remain indebted and ever thankful to you (asuu) for your unalloyed lies and deceits, and for being a faithful and dedicated ambassador of anti student group!!!
But I want you to recall and know, as you have taught us that a man is not wiser than his decision. It is time for (ASUU) to lecture itself not the students cause the students seems more mature and well culture than the lecturers
