The 2013 Champions Cup Competition also known as the Super Cup commences on Wednesday at the Abuja National Stadium.
This competition involves the winners of the Nigeria National League (NNL) Group A and B and their respective runners-up.
The four teams set to take part in this year’s competition arrived Abuja on Tuesday ahead of today (Wednesday) kickoff.
According to the fixtures released on Tuesday, Giwa FC takes on Crown FC in Wednesday’s early kickoff match while Abia Warriors FC faces FC Taraba later in the day.
The Super Four competition also serves as a preparatory tournament for the newly promoted clubs ahead of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season and, most-importantly to determine the overall winner of the previous NNL season.
The competition will come to an end on Thursday with the loser of game 1 and 2 locking horns for the third-place prize at 2pm.
