The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the selection of Vitoria Hotel Concept Campinas as the Team Base Camp Hotel of the Super Eagles for the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil.
The hotel is an exquisite facility located in Campinas, 70 minutes drive from Sao Paulo’s International Airport in the country’s Southeast region.
According to Coach Stephen Keshi, who alongside NFF’s Director of Marketing, Mr Adama Idris, Assistant Director (Media), Mr Ademola Olajire and Eagles’ Team Administrator, Mr Enebi Achor inspected the hotel 24 hours after the final draw for next summer’s World Cup, the facility will be appropriate for the team’s ambition at the world soccer showpiece.
“I love this place,” Keshi said on assessing the hotel before checking out the training facility. “It is good for our team and we will be able to achieve full concentration.
The Vitoria Hotel Concept will be the Base Camp Hotel of the Super Eagles, from where it travels to Curitiba (to play Iran), Cuiaba (to play Bosnia-Herzegovina) and Porto Alegre (for the final group showdown against Argentina).
“It is also good that there is an airport in Campinas that serves domestic flights, so we don’t have to travel to Sao Paulo to fly to our different venues,” Added Keshi.
