CHAN 2014: Eagles Set for the Battle of Champions Against Pillars.

Super Eagles Team B will face reigning Glo Premier League champions Kano Pillars on Friday morning inside the mainbowl of the Abuja National Stadium.

Nigeria’s representatives at the forthcoming African Championship (CHAN) in South Africa have played three friendly matches at the moment, the last of which was a hard-fought 2-0 win over Plateau United on Saturday morning at the same venue.

Meanwhile, coach Stephen Keshi has called up more players for the home-based Eagles’ camp following last weekend’s impressive display by both teams in the build-up match.

Plateau United’s star midfielder Eric Kwame made his way into the coach’s agenda as the crew look to finalise their preparations ahead of next month’s kick-off date of the third edition of CHAN.

Six other players who earned for themselves the crew’s nod are Warri Wolves’ Joshua Obaje, Emmanuel Nwankwo of ABS, Sunshine Stars’ Paul Ikenna, Heartland winger Obinna Nwachukwu (a returnee), newly signed Taraba United’s goalkeeper Ibrahim Pius and Kano Pillars’ U-20 star Shehu Abdullahi.
