CHAN 2014: Madu, Isa, Three Others, Exit Eagles Camp.

Enugu Rangers defender Chibuzor Madu and Sharks goalkeeper Danladi Isa will not make the squad for next month’s African Championship (CHAN) in South Africa because of a slight injury which has hampered their training.

The duo are among five players recently dropped by Coach Stephen Keshi in the build-up to the championship, involving players in the continent.

Central defender Madu has missed sessions for the last three days while goalkeeper Isa has also suffered an injury which will sideline him for over one week.

Others are Lobi Stars’ Douglas Achive, Warri Wolves’ Emenike Achibi, who only found his way to the Abuja camp just last week, and Ezekiel Mba of Akwa united.

Assistant coach Daniel Amokachi, who addressed the players on-behalf of the ‘Big Boss’, urged them to return to their various club bases and begin recuperation routines, adding he’s sure they will soon return to the squad as they’ve not been axed because they were not good enough.

“We urge you to return to your clubsides to give your best and will keep monitoring your progress for the future,” Dan ‘the Bull’ said.
