Eagles Versus Pillars Duel Ends Two-Goal Apiece.

Super Eagles team B forced Glo Premier League champions Kano Pillars to a 2-2 draw in the fifth of their test matches against domestic opponents ahead of next month’s African Nations Championship (CHAN).

Both teams went into the break with scores leveled at 2-2 before failing to produce any goal in the second-half of the encounter played in Abuja on Monday.

Major injury doubts Gambo Mohammed and Yinka Adedeji were left out of the team as officials access their fitness level before the final squad list.

Azubuike Egwuekwe opened scoring for the CHAN 2014-bound team when his towering header went past Pillars goalkeeper but Bello Komfarmata leveled for Pillars from the penalty spot.

‘Sai Masugida’ then got in the ascendancy thanks to a Manir Ubale’s goal before Rabiu Ali restored parity for the Eagles from close range before the interval.

Coach Stephen Keshi will name his final 23-man squad for the tournament on Tuesday.
