FG Spent N97bn On Kano Projects In Two Years – Minister

kano-stateState for Works, Ambassador Bashir Yuguda, has disclosed that the Federal Government has spent N97 billion over the past two years on various projects in Kano State.

The minister, who was in Kano weekend to inspect federal projects in the state, said the Federal Executive Council (FEC) recently approved the contract for the construction of dual carriageway on the Kano-Katsina road.

Yuguda, therefore, urged people of the state to support President Goodluck Jonathan as they have benefitted a lot from the transformation agenda of the current administration in the last two years.

The minister added that monies spent by the state government on federal projects would be refunded after verification.

Speaking during the inspection tour, Senator Bashir Garba Lado, who represents Kano Central Senatorial District, expressed gratitude to the Federal Government for approving the contract for the Kano-Katsina road, adding that the construction of a fly over bridge at the Kundila junction and the Kano-Katsina road and other projects in Kano justified their representation at the National Assembly.
