Maltina Dance All Shines At SPANFEST Award Night

This a statement is true in respect of Maltina, the nation’s number one malt drink from the stable of Nigerian Breweries Plc whichwas picked as the best dance show in the Nigeria corporate category at the Society for Performing Art in Nigeria Festival (SPANFEST) award which was held at the Oceanview Restaurant in Lagos.The brand’s consumer engagement activation, Maltina Dance All (MDA), the family dance competition earned it the award.
This is coming on the heels of the brand being adjudged best brand in Consumer Promotion and Innovation at the just concluded Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) awards for Marketing Excellence also held in Lagos.

Speaking after receiving the award, Mr Walter Drenth, Marketing Director Nigerian Breweries Plc, said Maltina has over the years moved from a point of just giving back to consumers, to the point of innovation and creativity. This has led to the introduction of consumer engagement platforms that promote ideas, bonding and sharing happy moments with every member of the family which is the true culture in Africa.

“It should not come to anyone as a surprise that Maltina Dance All won the award”. He added “Our consumers know that we care and love them. The MDA is an activation that is best described as a platform for family and individual members to achieve their dream.”

In her comments, Mrs Ngozi Nkwoji, Senior Brand Manager Maltina described the award as a reward for creativity and consumer acceptance of the MDA. She stressed that the show, which concluded its seventh edition in September tagged “The Evolution” of dance, took families and Nigerians through dance history transcending generations. The transformation and growth of the MDA, she stated, has in no small measures contributed to the development of family and individual entertainment in the country.

She pointed out that Maltina is a brand that has special interest in creating atmosphere that promote togetherness and happiness sharing “which is why we have been actively involved in the week long SPANFEST to connect and bond with consumers in an atmosphere of relaxation to enjoy dance, music, fashion, theatre and comedy.”

Sarah Boulos, the festival Curator and Chairperson of SPAN, disclosed, the festival comes to a grand close with the SPAN Awards, a glamorous night of fine dining and exquisite entertainment, honouring individuals and Organisations that have made an impact in the arts.

A ten man jury of reputable professionals from the creative industry, including Nollywood veteran, Joke Silva, Jahman Anikulapo and Ugoma Adegoke of The Lifehouse were saddled with task of selecting the brands and individuals that won.
