PDP Warns Tukur, Others’ Aides Against Commenting On Party Crisis

PDP-National-Chairman-Alhaji-Bamanga-TukurThe National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has warned personal aides of NWC members and unauthorised persons to desist from making comments on the party`s administration.

This is contained in a statement issued by Mr Olisa Metuh, the National Publicity Secretary of the party in Abuja on Monday.

Metuh disassociated the party`s NWC from a statement credited to Sen. Abubakar Gada, Special Adviser to the party’s National Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.

Gada, had in the statement suggested that Tukur and some PDP governors were at loggerheads over some political issues.

The PDP spokesman maintained that the comments credited to Gada “does not in anyway represent the true state of affairs in the party.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the NWC enjoys harmonious relationship with our governors, Board of Trustee members, elders of the party and other key stakeholders with the national chairman”, he said.

He added that all the party stakeholders were piloting the party`s affairs and supporting President Goodluck Jonathan to deliver the transformation agenda for the good of Nigerians.

Metuh said the NWC would continue to uphold the party’s manifesto and constitution for the overall interest of all Nigerians.

This, he said, would be done in line with the principles of service, justice and equity.

He added that NWC would “remain on the same page with the party`s governors” and all its elected and appointed officials across the country. (NAN)
