Greek club PAOK Thesaloniki are reportedly hot in the chase for Nigeria’s African Cup of Nations (Afcon) 2013 revelation, Sunday Mba.
The 24-year-old scored two incisive goals for the Super Eagles on their tracks to clinching a third continental title in South Africa last February.
He scored the match winner in the 2-1 surprise win over tournament favourites Ivory Coast in the quarter-finals and the championship winner against the ‘Stallions’ of Burkina Faso.
Mba’s move to French Ligue 2 side Bastia failed to materialise in the summer as both parties couldn’t agree on a preferable terms of contract.
PAOK, who are due to play Portuguese club Benfica in the Europa League last 32 in February, have now shown interest in the Nigeria international midfielder reports Gazzetta.gr.
Mba will be part of Eagles’ Team B side that will be making a debut appearance in the African Championship next month.
