An expatriate has being seized by unknown gunmen, who attacked a plastic company in Sharada Industrial Area in the ancient city of Kano on Monday morning.
The expatriate, whose identity could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this repor, is said to be the owner of the company.
According to Vanguard, an eyewitness at the premises of the company located at phase 1 of the industrial hub said that “A woman and security guard were injured during the attack”.
Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relation Officer, ASP Musa Magaji Majia said: “we have launched a manhunt to thwart the effort of the criminals”, just as he appealed to residents of the commercial city to remain calm.
The kidnapped expatriate has been identified as Mr. Hassan Zein, a Lebanese national.
Mr. Zein, who is the Managing Director of M.C Plastic Company, was seized between 7:30am and 8:00am in the company’s premises.
