The League Management Company has announced the weekend of February 21-23 as the kick-off dates for the 2013/14 Glo Premier League season.

Chairman of the league body Nduka Irabor disclosed this after a meeting with the 20 clubs in Abuja on Monday.

“We will commence the new season by the weekend of February 23-25,” said Irabor.

He also disclosed that the traditional pre-season tournament, the Super 4, will be played between January 24 to 28.

2012/13 champions Kano Pillars, Runners-up and Federation Cup winners, Enyimba, third-placed Bayelsa United and Federation Cup losing finalists, Warri Wolves will be eligible for the 2013/14 Pre-season tournament.

Kano Pillars and Enyimba will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League while Bayelsa United and Wolves will feature in the CAF Confederations Cup.

“We hope this tournament will help prepare our teams who will feature in international competitions this year,” he added.
