Argentina striker Sergio Aguero is likely to be fit for Manchester City’s Champions League last-16 tie against Barcelona next month, according to Blues boss Manuel Pellegrini.
Top scorer Aguero, who has netted 19 goals this season, has missed the last six games with a calf injury. City host the Spanish champions in their first-leg clash on 18 February.
“I think Sergio will be back during January – he’s working, he is training,” says Pellegrini ahead of Wednesday’s Capital One Cup semi-final against West Ham.

Meanwhile, the Chilean boss says England international right-back Micah Richards is fit to play against West Ham, but has been left out of the squad while Argentine defender Martin Demichelis returns to the squad after missing the club’s last four games through injury.
“He (Richards) must work a little more, but he’s not injured,” added Pellegrini, who also confirmed Spanish winger “Jesus Navas has a little problem with his knee. It’s not very important, but we are just being cautious.”
Good news for his recovering and good for the entire team . Sergio Aguero is prolific and fantastic team player and striker who can dislodge any opponent team on a good day . He is very much welcome back to full action especially the game against Bayern Munich in CL .
