Second seed Novak Djokovic won his 25th straight Australian Open match (and his 28 overall) as he eased through his third round game against Italy’s Fabio Fognini to reach the quarter-finals.
The Serb secured a 6-3, 6-0, 6-2 win over 15th seed Fognini to book a last eight berth against Stanislas Wawrinka, who took out Tommy Robredo 6-3, 7-6, 7-6 late on Sunday.
Djokovic, who is gunning for a fourth straight Australian Open title and a fifth (in total), dominated the Italian, clinching a straight set victory in just one hour 32 minutes.

He lost just ten points on his own serve while enjoying 22 break points.
Spain’s third seed David Ferrer also progressed with a 6-7 7-5 6-2 6-1 win against Germany’s Florian Mayer.

The former French Open champion, who was runner-up last year and in 2011, faced four break points on her way to victory.
