Sick thugs beat up the deaf brother of reality star Josie Gibson during a night out – because he wasn’t able to give them directions.

The Big Brother winner was out celebrating her 29th birthday in Bristol with friends and family last night when the attack took place.

It is understood Harry, who is deaf, was approached by at least two men who asked him for directions.

When he started to sign a reply, rather than speaking aloud, the callous thugs turned on him and beat him up.

A distraught Josie later tweeted a picture of Harry covered in blood.

“I’m going to hunt the bullies who did this! The nicest guy ever was beaten up because they thought he was deaf & dumb,” she wrote.

Josie won Big Brother in 2010 and has gone on to be a TV presenter.

Earlier in the night, Josie and friends had appeared to be in good spirits, tweeting pictures of themselves enjoying drinks.

They were out in Josie’s hometown Bristol.

Harry became deaf as a result of suffering meningitis as a baby.

The trauma of seeing him on a life-support machine inspired Josie to organise a fundraiser for the charity Meningitis UK in 2012.

“I know how lucky Harry is to have survived and there are many families who tragically lose loved ones to this terrible disease,” she told the Bristol Post at the time.

In a magazine interview in 2011, Josie described how Harry and her two other brothers are very protective of their sister.

Speaking about introducing her then-boyfriend Luke Sanwo to them she said: “I told him Harry takes the p*** out of everyone.

“Harry’s hilarious. He’s so rude, then he blames everything on the fact that he’s deaf, bless him.”

Josie’s agent said the star was too distressed by the incident to comment at this time.
