Fulham forward Bryan Ruiz has joined Dutch side PSV Eindhoven on loan for the rest of the season.
The 28-year-old Costa Rica international told PSV’s official website:”When the opportunity arose I was interested.
“It’s true I didn’t have much playing time at Fulham lately, so I see this as a great opportunity for me. I want to get my confidence back, help PSV finish as high as possible and prepare for the World Cup.”
Ruiz joined the Cottagers in August 2011 for a club record £10.6m from Eredevise side FC Twente.
He scored only eight times in 68 appearances for Fulham and has only played once under new manager Rene Meulensteen.
“Everyone at Fulham would like to wish him well during his temporary spell [at PSV],” A Fulham statement said.
