A middle aged security man, Aliu Mustapha, has been stabbed to death by his colleague for being instrumental to his sack by the management of a filling station in Ondo town.
Vanguard gathered that the incident occurred at about 1.30 a.m last Saturday. It was learnt that the deceased and the suspect were engaged as security men. Vanguard was, however, informed that the suspect was recently sacked after theft of some items in the station while he was on duty.
Consequently, the management of the filling station replaced him. After his sack, he was said to have fingered the deceased as the one who masterminded his sack and even encouraged the management to find a replacement.
He reportedly armed himself with a knife, visited the filling station in the wee-hour of the day while the deceased was on duty. On arrival at the filling station, the two security men engaged in a shouting match which degenerated into a scuffle.
In the process, the suspect reportedly used the knife to slit the throat of the deceased who later died. By the time another security man attached to a nearby house rushed to the scene the deceased had bled to death.
