Kwankwaso Assures Non-Indigenes Of Security Of Lives, Property

Rabiu KwankwasoKano State governor, Engr Rabiu Kwankwaso has assured non-indigenes living in the state of the state government’s continued resolve to provide adequate security for lives and property.

Kwankwaso gave the assurance when the leadership of non-indigenes in the state, led by Eze Ndigbo, Dr Boniface Ibekwe, paid him a courtesy call at the Government House, Kano, on Thursday.

He said his administration would give topmost attention to security to ensure economic growth and development in the state.

Kwankwaso, however, urged leaders of non-indigenes in the state against unguarded utterances as it might not go down well with the people of the state.

He also advised them to engage in legal businesses to move the state forward.

Speaking earlier, Ibekwe expressed the commitment of the non-indigenes to support all moves aimed at ensuring lasting peace in the state.

The Eze Ndigbo, however, appealed to the governor to build a befitting hospital in Sabon-Gari, an area of the state occupied mostly by non-indigenes, while commending his efforts in developing the state.
