Chelsea duo of Franck Lampard and Branislav Ivanovic have been ruled out of action for four weeks because of injuries they sustained last Sunday.
Defender Ivanovic hurt his knee in the 2-1 win over Liverpool, and came off the clash in the first-half.
Midfielder Lampard suffered a muscle injury and was substituted at the interval.
Portuguese boss, Jose Mourinho, who was initially optimistic about Ivanovic’s injury, revealed to Chelsea’s official website on New Year Day after their 3-0 thrashing of Southampton the pair would be sidelined for a month.
They are very likely to miss the club’s league game against champions Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on January 19.
