The police in Lagos State have arrested an armed robber whose gang was suspected to have shot and killed the late advertising guru, Sesan Ogunro Snr about three weeks ago.
The deceased, Chairman of Eminent Advertising agency was killed in the presence of family members by the dare-devil armed robbers around Alausa Business District, as they prepared to return home after attending a Christmas carol service.
The arrested suspect, Jonathan Nsirim, identified three other members of his dreaded gang as Ezekiel Anthony, Abiodun Amuda and one Samuel.
It was learnt that Nsirim was arrested after one of his girlfriends nabbed in connection with a robbery operation.
The arrested suspect also allegedly named a certain Fine Money and a South African-based soldier as other members of the dreaded armed robbery gang.
The gang, which killed Ogunro, was said to have participated in one of the robbery operations at Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
The police also reportedly recovered a Honda Accord saloon car from the home of Nsirim, with four AK 47 rifles carefully hidden at the four sides of the vehicle.
The arrested suspect, however, denied ownership of the vehicle, insisting that it belonged to Fine Money.
When contacted, the Lagos State police spokesperson, DSP Ngozi Braide said she was not aware of the arrests.
