Nigeria minister for Sports Bolaji Abdullahi Thursday in Abuja declared the 2014 stakeholders forum and pre-season seminar open with a promise that the government will provide adequate support to the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) to achieve its set goals for the year.
The minister applauded the NBBF for following the 2014 FIBA World Cup wild card bid to the last day but missed out.
He, however, charge the NBBF to ensure that state associations join hands with it in taking basketball to the grassroots.
