Frank Nweke To Run For Senatorial Seat In 2015

Former Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mr. Frank Nweke Jr., has declared his intention to contest for the Enugu East senatorial district seat in 2015.

Speaking to newsmen in Enugu, Sunday, Nweke who is the present Director-General of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group, NESG said his decision to join the Senate race was borne out of his desire to provide quality representation to people of the zone.

Former Senate President, Ken Nnamani, former Governor of old Anambra state, Senator Jim Nwobodo and immediate past governor of Enugu state, Senator Chimaraoke Nnamani had at different times represented the senatorial district at the National Assembly between 1999 to 2011. The position is currently being occupied by senator Gilbert Nnaji, who is also the chairman, senate committee on communication.
