Lamido Warns Newly Elected Council Chairmen

Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State on Tuesday warned the newly elected chairmen of the 27 local government areas in the state against unhygienic and dirt in government buildings.

The governor gave the warning at a five-day retreat organized organised by the Ministry of Local Government in conjunction with the office of the Head of Civil Service for local government chairmen, vice chairmen, councillor-elects.

Lamido said: “When I find out that your areas are filthy, I will send the State Environmental Protection Agency (JISEPA) to help you clean the place but I would surcharge you N5million, which would be deducted from your monthly allocation”.
