A former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, on Wednesday in Kaduna again alleged that the Peoples Democratic Party was planning to rig the 2015 general elections in the country.
The former minister, who noted that the All Progressives Congress was already aware of the ruling party’s sinister agenda, disclosed that the PDP had hatched the plot to write the 2015 elections result in Ekiti State.
El-Rufai, the Interim Deputy National Secretary of the APC, disclosed this to reporters in Kaduna shortly after obtaining his membership card of the party.
“We are aware that PDP is working to rig the election (2015). In fact, they even plan to write the result in Ekiti State even before the election holds”, he said.
El-Rufai, however, vowed that the opposition party would ensure that the ruling party did not succeed in its plans.
He added that he would not disclose the party’s strategy to stop the PDP from rigging and writing the purported result of the 2015 elections.
“We are working to see that it does not happen. I will not disclose our strategy so that the opposition will not know but I assure you that we are not going to allow them to succeed”, he said.
El-Rufai also berated the Senate President, David Mark, for stalling the defection of 11 PDP senators to the APC.
He argued that Mark’s efforts to stop or block defecting Senators would fail, noting that there was no way the senate president could force the senators that are willing to defect to remain in the PDP.
