Policeman Arrested For Attacking Wife With Cutlass

Okokomaiko Division of the Lagos State Police Command has arrested a policeman, Michael Okoli, for allegedly attacking his wife, Felicia, with a cutlass, at their  home in Afromedia Estate, Lagos State.

His wife now lies in a critical condition at Gbagada General Hospital after she was rejected by many hospitals.

The Delta State‑born Okoli confessed that he became angry after he did not find N70,000 he kept aside for house rent and when he asked his wife about the missing money, she was rude to him.

In anger, he took a cutlass and attacked Felicia. After the attack, she was taken to several hospitals before she was eventually admitted at Gbagada General Hospital where she is being treated.

Okoli said he did not know what came over him while carrying out the attack.

Reports however said it was not the first time Okoli would attack Felicia with cutlass.

The spy policeman admitted he cut off one of Felicia’s fingers during a quarrel  before the current incident.

The couple got married 18 years ago and are blessed with four children.

Okoli is an elder in a Celestial Church of Christ parish at Afromedia.
