wastewater plant

In a bid to stop the channeling of wastewater into the lagoon, Lagos State Government has concluded plans to construct wastewater plants in housing estates across the state as part of effort at reducing the rate of pollution in the state

Governor Babatunde Fashola disclosed this after inspecting the Abesan Wastewater Treatment Plant, which currently serves the Abesan Housing Estate in Mosan Okunola Local Council Development Area of the state.

He said plans were already ongoing to construct a new wastewater plant in Odo-Iyalaro in Ojota area and some other housing estates aimed at addressing the issue of channeling wastewater into lagoons.

The governor who expressed satisfaction with the capacity of the plant said it was only possible due to the commitment of the state’s Ministry of Environment which maintains the facility.

  1. To stop pollution we have a best solution that is use of biomass briquettes in our daily life instead of fossil fuels….

Biomass briquetting is a simple process where some chosen raw material is collected and compressed under high pressure without using any ash so it replace fossil fuel.
