Why Kwankwaso’s Supporters Wear Red Caps – Aide

kwankwasoThe Kwankwasiyya Movement, which is characterized by wearing of red caps and head gears by its members in Kano State, signifies the dislike for corruption, Special Assistant to Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso on Governmental Affairs, Kaduna Liaison office, Alhaji Bala Kubarachi said yesterday.

Speaking in Kaduna yesterday, Kubarachi advised other state governors, especially in the North-west zone to emulate the developmental strides of Kwankwaso.

“Kwankwaso’s developmental strides in Kano has exposed some governors who are not performing. Kwankwaso is not the governor of Kaduna State, but with the kind of love the people of Kaduna have for him, he will also want to see such development in Kaduna and other places. Though some people said he is running a cult because of the red caps, red head gears and red hijabs. They can go ahead and call it a blood sucking cult if they like”, he said.

In apparent reference to a statement by the immediate past governor of the state, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau that Kwankwaso was running a ‘cult-like’ administration as signified by the wearing of red caps, the aide said: “The common people in Kano are satisfied with the development they are seeing. Anyone who is not happy with Kwankwaso over the development recorded and the wearing of red cap is not pure. If they see this rep cap, they will be afraid. Not even in Kano alone, this red cap signifies purity and dislike to corruption”.
