Her status update: lucky to be alive.

A Connecticut woman survived a bullet ripping through her skull — and posted on Facebook about the incident hours later.

Tough-as-nails mother of twins Candace Strickland was hit by two stray bullets in her arm and head during a shootout in Hartford on Sunday, according to reports. Strickland, 30, wasted no time updating her Facebook friends on her condition hours after the near-death experience.

“God was truly with me & by my side!!!! Please keep praying for me. I can’t stop cryingggg,” she wrote on her Facebook, according to NBC Connecticut. The shooting occurred near the intersection of Adams St. and Albany Ave., the station reported. Miraculously, Strickland, who has two twin 5-year-old boys, is expected to make a full recovery, the station reported. The bullet is reportedly still lodged in her brain.

“She’s a very good person. She’s a mom,” an unidentified neighbor told NBC. “I got a call and I ran, went to Adams street, and I was crying hysterically.” Police told NBC Connecticut that Strickland was caught in the middle of a fusillade of bullets — but was not the intended targeted.

“Sometimes you be at the wrong place,” Dwayne Fuler, of Hartford told the station. “It happens all the time in the neighborhood. Sometimes it’s scary, but it’s sad it has to happen in your neighborhood.”

Strickland is being treated at Saint Francis Medical Center.
