Following renewed attacks by suspected Boko Haram insurgents, the 23 Armoured Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Yola, Adamawa State, has announced the extension of curfew in the state by four hours.
Henceforth, the curfew will be observed between 7 pm and 5am instead of between 11 pm and 5 am.
A statement signed by the army spokesperson, Captain Jaafaru Mohammed Nuhu, said the review took effect from Sunday.
The statement also said the review affects all towns and villages in the state. The military had a few days ago issued a statement announcing the extension of the curfew in Madagali and Michika Local Government Areas where Boko Haram launched violent attacks last week, leaving scores dead.
The Brigade solicited the cooperation of the public while pledging to ensure safety of lives and property.
