Adeyemi, a Senior Pastor in-charge of Daystar Christian Centre, who was speaking in Lagos at a sermon, said rather than fear, Nigerians, should be committed to God.

According to him, it is God alone that can put a stop to the killings and other vices going on in the country.

Many people, including college students, have lost their lives as a result of the Boko Haram insurgency in some parts of the North-East of the country.

Adeyemi noted that, with the different happenings in the country, particularly the killings in some parts of the North, some people might have been gripped by fear of the unknown.

“People should not be moved with fear over the happenings in some parts of Nigeria.

“People should deepen their commitment to God. It is only Him that can deliver persons and nations from troubles,’’ he said.

Adeyemi emphasised the need for good leadership at all levels of the society, stressing that until majority of new generation Nigerians imbibes godly values, the country may not change for the better soon.

He called on governments at all levels to ensure good governance in order to have a peaceful nation.
