Edo Hospital Remodelling To Be Completed In Nine Months – Oshiomhole

adams_oshiomhole_455297545Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, on Wednesday, reaffirmed that the ongoing re-modelling of the Central Hospital, Benin, would be completed in nine months.

Oshiomhole gave the assurance while inspecting the hospital project and other ongoing projects in the state capital.

He disclosed that the contract for the re-modelling of the hospital was re-awarded to Messrs S &A Construction Company, adding that the contractor had been mobilised.

He said that his administration was committed to the speedy completion of the hospital and expressed hope that the contractor would meet the government’s deadline.

“I think that from the assurance given by the contractor, hopefully by next week, work would have started, and in the next nine months to one year, the job will be completed.

“Not only will the complex be completed, it will also be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, because government plans to enlist foreign experts, who will supply the sophisticated equipment”, he said.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that construction work at the hospital was disrupted for about two years, after a portion of the project collapsed in 2012.
