Sone Aluko says the mood among members of the Hull City squad has been geared up in light of their passage into the semi-final of the FA Cup.
‘The Tigers’ will take on League One outfit Sheffield United in one of the two Wembley semi-finals on 13 April, following their 3-0 win over Sunderland in last weekend’s quarter-final tie.
Aluko told the club’s official website: “The squad is really buzzing. That was a really good result for us and we put in a really strong performance.
“It was an open game for long periods and I thought we got better the longer it went on and controlled it.

“Obviously goals change games and the game was over once we got the second. The atmosphere in the ground was really good and the fans got right behind us. The team really appreciated that.
“It feels good to be back out there, especially with us winning games as well. Obviously I was disappointed to miss the penalty on Sunday, but apart from that I felt I did okay.”
It is 80 years since Hull last reached the last-four of the oldest football tournament in the world.
The other semi-final tie has Arsenal take on current holders Wigan Athletic a day before Hull’s encounter with Sheffield.
