kidnapThe Former Coordinator of Okposi Development Center in Ebonyi State, Hon Ihebunandu Okorie has been reportedly killed by his abductors in a forest located in Afikpo South Local Government Area of the state.

The former coordinator, it would be recalled, was kidnapped within the premises of the Reformed Presbyterian Church, Obioha Okposi by unknown gunmen at about 1 pm on the 16th of March, 2014, after attending a church service in the area.

A source close to the family, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said Hon Okorie’s body was found in the pool of his own blood in the forest yesterday.

Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Chris Anyanwu said that the command would hold a press briefing on Thursday to give details on the incident.
