NYSC DG Cautions Corps Members Ahead Of Polls

The Director-General of National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Brig-Gen. Johnson Olawumi, has warned corps members who will serve as prospective electoral officials in the 2015 general elections, to resist any form of inducement from politicians.

The DG gave the warning, on Monday, while addressing 2014 Batch A corps members deployed to Bayelsa State, during an unscheduled visit to the NYSC temporary orientation camp in Kaiama, Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of the state.

Olawumi, who reminded the corps members of their role in ensuring a free, fair and credible election in 2015, noted that they must always be seen as unbiased umpires. [TD]
