Nigeria under-20 football team, the Flying Eagles, will host their Tanzania counterparts in a 2015 African Nations Championship (AYC) second qualification round, second leg tie in Kaduna, officials have confirmed.
The coach Manu Garba side defeated the Ngorongoro Heroes in Dar es Salam on Sunday, courtesy of second-half strikes from Musa Yahaya and Taiwo Awoniyi.
The squad, which is largely composed of the victorious under-17 players from last year’s Fifa World Cup in the UAE, returned to Abuja on Monday afternoon and are headed straight to Kaduna, where they will train ahead of the return leg slated for Saturday, May 24, team secretary Auwal Aliyu Ibrahim has told AfricanFootball.com.
The team resumes training on Tuesday evening at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium- venue of the encounter.
The overall winner of the tie will face winner of the second round encounter between Angola and Lesotho for a place in the 2015 AYC in Senegal. Lesotho emerged 3-1 winner of the other encounter in Maseru.
