Manu said: “I spoke to the player and after our discussion it was best he does not feature on Saturday for us. However he could come around to cheer his fellow team-mates from the stands.”

The Nigeria Under-20 side are expected to round off preparation for the AYC second round, second leg qualifier on Friday morning at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, venue for the decisive encounter.

Eagles’ opponents, the Ngorongoro Heroes are due in the country on Thursday.

Tanzania lost 2-0 to Nigeria in the first leg played in Dar es Salam.
